Why we made Ingrid

We designed Ingrid to be an elevated alternative to the everyday belt bag. Our founder loved wearing bags snug across the chest, but wanted something that felt more refined while keeping the same ease and functionality.

Structure was important to us. We wanted a bag that could instantly make even a simple outfit feel put together, while still being easy to live with. Details like multiple compartments, a secure magnetic closure, and an exterior slip pocket were all designed to make Ingrid practical, comfortable, and intuitive to use.

Wear it your way

Ingrid is designed to be worn four different ways. Use the wide strap across your chest for a belt bag style look, or shorten that same strap to wear it as a shoulder bag. Switch to the long strap for a crossbody fit with generous adjustability that works comfortably across body shapes and seasonal layers. Or remove the straps entirely and carry it as a minimalist clutch.

Our bags are made with cowhide leather, which we treat with a custom polymer coating that enhances the color and provides a protective layer for durability. In addition to added durability, our coating provides a beautiful sheen so your bag can look newer for longer. Here are a few tips for caring for your AALLYN bag:

  • Keep bags out of direct heat or sunlight for prolonged periods. These elements will prematurely cause leather to dry out, crack or fade. 
  • Avoid water, but if your bag gets wet, pat it dry with paper towels and let it air dry. Do not apply heat.
  • Avoid contact with cosmetics, perfume, or anything that may transfer color.
  • To remove water or dirt from leather, wipe dry with a soft and clean cloth.
  • Moisturize the bag body with a leather conditioner lotion every few months or as necessary.
